I just watched through a 6 minute mp4 with no crashes at all.īut I prematurely hit escape before another mp4 ended and it bricked my -please stay polite- computer. I stopped the video, restarted it and then it crashed like 40 seconds in. I also noticed in the hidden tabs menu on the taskbar about 8 different VLC tabs after I had kept restarting it every time it crashed, but they all disappeared on their own once I saw them.Īfter having wrote that I just tried running VLC as admin and the video froze not even 30 seconds in. Every time after that it just crashed constantly. The first issue I had was that the screen totally froze while the audio was fine, so I closed and then reopened it. I had wanted to start watching Gintama, but the furthest I could get without crashing was only 3 minutes. It didn't do anything then and it still doesn't work today. I had this problem on the 13th as well and reset my preferences then.
